Michael Traxlmayr, Dipl.-Ing. Dr.
Postdoc at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research
I got the opportunity to do my master thesis at the CCRI under the supervision of Thomas Felzmann and Alexander Dohnal. I extremely enjoyed my time there, not only because of working on an interesting project, but also because of having great colleagues, who were always helpful and spread a highly enjoyable working atmosphere. The people at CCRI clearly aroused my enthusiasm for science, which has never stopped since then.

Mag. Dr. Friedrich Erhart
Research intern at the Center of Molecular Medicine of the Austrian Academy of SciencesCeMM
"My time at the St. Anna Children's Cancer Research Institute (CCRI) was an absolutely inspiring experience. During my medical studies I did research here on Dendritic Cells under the supervision of Thomas Felzmann and Alexander Dohnal. It was great to do immunology in theory and practice and participate in a project that is linking lab research and clinical application very closely. Not only were all the people I met at CCRI highly professional, they were also tremendously helpful and great to work with."
Jan Trka, M.D., Ph.D
Professor of Medical Genetics, Head - Laboratory Centre CLIP – Childhood Leukaemia Investigation Prague, Charles University Prague Czech Republic
“I spent an exciting time at CCRI in 1994 during my PhD studies on fusion genes BCR/ABL and MLL/AF4 under the supervision of Prof. Thomas Lion, who played a crucial role in the start of my research carrier and with whom I also published my first two papers as a senior author. CCRI served as a “blueprint” for the development of the Laboratory Centre of our Department in Prague. Moreover, at CCRI I met a group of important scientists in the field whom I regularly meet and collaborate with till now.”
