The Research Support Office (RSO) team at the CCRI provides constant support to its researchers and collaborators in the generation of high-quality proposals and acquisition of competitive grants.

The RSO team provides the researchers at the CCRI with expertise in national and international funding and actively engages in the preparation and design of project proposals. In addition to the fund raising activities, the RSO further supports the researchers with the day-to-day management of the active projects, including the monitoring of milestones and achievement of deliverables, timely technical and financial reporting to the funding agencies, and with the dissemination of scientific results.

The RSO is also keen to support the career development of the young researchers working at the CCRI, providing information and guidance on funding opportunities targeting this group.

Private donations and Public funds

Private donations from the Austrian population significantly contribute to the adequate financial resources which are required to maintain the high quality of scientific work provided by the CCRI. The Association “St. Anna Kinderkrebsforschung e.V.” supports the CCRI by fundraising activities based on the support from our loyal donors.
Further financing needs are met with public funds. The CCRI has successfully managed to obtain well-funded external grants and establish adequate national and international collaborations to gain access to sophisticated methods, highly expensive technologies and state-of-the-art equipment.

We would like to express our gratitude to the numerous private donors who have been loyal in their support for many years, as well as to the following national and international funding bodies and organisations:

Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) / Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) / Austrian Science Fund (FWF) / Austrian Society of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (ÖGKJ) / EU 5th, 6th and 7th Framework Programs (FP5, FP6, FP7) /  EUREKA's Eurostars Programme / Fund of the City of Vienna /  "Genomforschung in Austria" of the Federal Ministry of Science and Research (BMWF) / Herzfelder'sche Familienstiftung / HHV-6 Foundation / Anniversary Fund of the Austrian National Bank (Österreichische Nationalbank, OeNB) / Technology Promotion Agency of the City of Vienna (ZIT) / Vienna Science and Technology Fund (WWTF)
